Lindsay Manning is an award-winning journalist and professor at the University of Tampa, where she teaches media writing. She travels the country speaking to audiences about the power of developing an intentional, focused mindset: pushing through obstacles, embracing failure, and the power of forgiveness.
Working in local news since 2011, Manning has covered events capturing national attention, including the terrorist attack in Chattanooga and Hurricane Irma. She also spent a year working for nationally recognized Dave Ramsey's video team, helping produce content with a message of hope that empowers people to win at life and money.
After years teaching factual story-telling at the university level, Manning explores her own personal narrative in Enough: How I Forgave the Drunk Driver Who Nearly Killed my Baby and Me.
Manning has won several awards, including Best TV News Videographer by the Tennessee Associated Press in 2016. Her exclusive video of two homes being swallowed by a giant sinkhole in Florida went viral nationally and was later nominated for a Suncoast Regional Emmy award in 2018. Manning earned her MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2008.
Her favorite hobbies include jumping out of perfectly good airplanes and raising three boys with her husband, Adam.
